Breakfast was excellent and very generous for a small establishment. Staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and minimally furnished, fresh and uncluttered.
I thought that it was not quite value for money because it is very basic for the rate I paid. Then again, the location is perfect for Durban nightlife, so this is some compensation. I had some issues with noise filtering upward from the lobby through the night, but was effortlessly relocated after informing hotel staff. Overall, it is a wonderful hotel and I would gladly recommend it to other travelers.
I feel the rooms at the back should have been caperted
Staff was friendly and efficient
Early hours of the morning there was some loud noise shouting and screaming I got up with a fright I was in room 6 1st floor and having people run up down the stairs at that time of the morning was no fun. I actually thought the hotel was being held up at that time. Being a female on her own from another town its was pretty scary
First stay, and very satisfied with everything.
A very small thing, tea/coffee tray not replenished after the first day by houskeeping lady. Hotel is clean and well worth it.
Had a great stay at the hotel, decor is very stylish and the room immaculate and the service was excellent and the staff helpful. Great value for money.
Great staff and wonderful food , was very pleasantly surprised
Comfortable stay, friendly staff and very good food
The staff is very professional and friendly. Exellent breakfast. Very pleasant stay.
Internet was not working in the room. Noice from bar area till late at night.
The food was excellent and the staff were helpful and friendly
Too modern and claustrophobic for our tastes
the staff was very warm and the food was also good.
WIFI was not working in our rooms-WIFI was only at the reception area.
I enjoyed the room and service offered I think it is great value for money. Breakfast was unbelievable. Continental was a bit too much I think it could be scaled down.
The noice frm down I stayed in room 1 i could hear hotel staff when they go our of the door next to my room. i could hear them when they talk. i could also hear the music from down. Other than that I loved everything
Superb service , friendlyness of the staff from the Chef's good food to the waiter , receptionist and the cleaners. Keep the excellent Job that you are doing.
Nothing , I have fallen in love with the hotel
Good Food, Quiet Location in the City
Noisy Wooden Floors in the First Floor, No Handheld Shower,
The rooms are very modern and neat. It had a large flat-screen lcd tv and the cookies by the tea station are a great touch. The bathroom is massive and the breakfast was awesome.
A soap dish in the bathroom between the basins would be great. Also, there is no mechanism to close/open the drain so you can't really fill the basin with water for shaving. A canopy over the area where one must walk between the room and the reception area would be great as we got very wet while it rained in Durban. These are not complaints - just some suggestions.
The Hotel is spotless, well run and modern. Is small , tranquil, the area is excellent. The staff are very helful and well cordial. The food was excellent, healthy, well presented and very tasty. Compliments to the chef!
If anything I would have to say the fact that the shower has no door. This area is separated from the bed just by a courtain, a screen could help to keep the bed area totally isolated from the shower (specially during the humid Durban summer)
